Role Overview
This role blends business development and event production, responsible for driving new client growth while leading the successful execution of high-impact events and experiential activations. You will own the full lifecycle—from identifying and closing opportunities to delivering exceptional client experiences that build long-term relationships and drive repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Drive new enterprise business through outbound sales, networking, trade shows, and relationship building
Research, prospect, and identify new client opportunities
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue goals
Lead outreach efforts with clear, thoughtful, and strategic communication
Build strong client relationships by understanding needs and delivering tailored solutions
Oversee proposal development and participate in new business brainstorming
Attend industry events and networking organizations to expand visibility and pipeline
Report on pipeline progress, performance, and opportunities for growth
Event Production & Execution
Lead end-to-end production of events and experiential activations from concept through post-event wrap
Translate client goals and creative ideas into detailed production plans, timelines, and budgets
Source, negotiate, and manage vendors (venues, AV, catering, talent, etc.)
Oversee logistics including permits, insurance, shipping, and onsite execution
Create and manage production schedules, run-of-show documents, and operational plans
Act as the main point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams
Lead onsite execution, ensuring high-quality delivery and solving issues in real time
Conduct post-event recaps and identify opportunities for improvement and account growth
Collaboration & Leadership
Contribute to internal business development and strategy meetings
Support program development, design, and creative ideation
Manage and mentor a small team
Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and clear communication
Skills & Qualifications
3–7+ years of experience in event production, experiential marketing, or related fields, with sales or business development experience preferred
Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue targets
Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills
Excellent organizational, project management, and time management abilities
Skilled in budget management, vendor negotiation, and logistics coordination
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Proficiency in tools such as MS Office (especially Excel), Google Drive, Dropbox, project management platforms, and virtual communication tools
Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings/weekends as needed
