We have a current opening for a Data Scientist in our Sacramento, CA offices.

Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

Develop dashboards and KPI reporting for project managers, operations leaders, and executive leadership.

Support forecasting models related to project cost-to-complete, labor demand planning, and cash flow projections.

Assist in analyzing ERP/MRP and project management system data to identify performance trends, risk indicators, and operational bottlenecks.

Technology & Systems Integration

Support analytics initiatives tied to system implementations, upgrades, and digital transformation projects.

Assist in defining enterprise data standards, KPIs, and cross-functional reporting metrics.

Contribute to automation of recurring reports and manual workflows through scripting and data pipelines.

Support development of predictive models to enhance cost forecasting, schedule adherence, procurement planning, and risk mitigation.

Assist in creating early-warning indicators for project overruns or operational inefficiencies.

Document methodologies and maintain reproducible, well-governed analytical processes.

Data Governance & Quality Management

Collaborate with Technology teams to improve data quality, consistency, and reliability across enterprise systems.

Support master data management initiatives across projects, vendors, materials, and labor categories.

Assist in developing standardized enterprise reporting definitions aligned with Finance and Operations.

Work directly with Construction Operations, Finance, HR, and corporate leadership to translate business needs into analytical solutions.

Present findings in a clear, structured format suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Contribute to change management efforts associated with new reporting tools and system enhancements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

1–3 years of experience in data analysis, analytics, or data science (internships included).

Proficiency in SQL and Python (or R).

Experience with Power BI or similar enterprise BI platforms.

Foundational understanding of statistics, regression analysis, and predictive modeling.

Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and data accuracy.

Preferred

Experience working with ERP, MRP, or construction/project management systems.

Exposure to capital project delivery environments or construction operations.

Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms.

Experience supporting financial forecasting, job costing, or project controls.

Knowledge of data governance practices within enterprise IT environments.

Salary Range

$70,000/year - $90,000/year

This is an exempt position.
