Job Description:
We are looking for a Technical Lead to drive advanced analytics and AI engineering for a Fortune 500 insurance and financial services enterprise’s data modernization program.
Responsibilities:
Own adoption and implementation of Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities — including AI_EXTRACT, AI_CLASSIFY, AI_COMPLETE, and Cortex Analyst — within the platform’s security perimeter, enabling unstructured data processing, conversational analytics, and ML-powered data quality.
Build Streamlit-in-Snowflake applications that give the customer’s business users governed, interactive access to certified data products.
Provide hands‑on technical leadership at the frontier of what Snowflake’s AI platform can do in production.
Write and maintain data processing pipelines, ML model development, LLM API integration, and prompt engineering.
Develop anomaly detection, statistical modeling, and model deployment for data quality use cases (production, not just research notebooks).
Process unstructured data at scale: document classification, NLP, entity extraction, and text‑to‑structured pipelines.
Ensure data governance for AI: PHI/PII handling, model explainability, audit trails, and lineage for AI‑generated outputs.
Requirements:
8+ years in data engineering, ML engineering, or analytics engineering, with at least 2 years working with LLM‑based or Cortex AI capabilities in production.
Deep Python expertise (data processing pipelines, ML model development, LLM API integration, prompt engineering).
Hands‑on experience with Snowflake: SQL, Snowflake‑native AI functions, Cortex AI, Streamlit‑in‑Snowflake, and the security model (row‑level/column‑level security).
Experience deploying production ML models for data quality use cases.
Experience processing unstructured data (document classification, NLP, etc.).
Strong understanding of data governance requirements for AI (PHI/PII handling, model explainability, audit trails, lineage).
Key Skills:
Snowflake Cortex AI, Streamlit‑in‑Snowflake, SQL, Azure OpenAI, LLM frameworks, AWS S3.
