Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS Oncology RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Deliver exceptional care and expertise as a registered nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical Oncology. This contract role offers the opportunity to support patients navigating complex treatment plans and requires advanced clinical skills, strong communication, and a passion for compassionate care. Key Qualifications:Active and unencumbered RN license Previous experience in Medical-Surgical Oncology nursing Proficiency in administering chemotherapy and managing cancer-related complications BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong patient assessment and critical thinking abilities Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive bedside care for oncology patients, including monitoring condition changes Administer chemotherapy, pain management, blood transfusions, and other specialized treatments Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans Educate patients and families about disease processes, symptom management, and ongoing treatment Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with facility guidelines Uphold infection control protocols and contribute to a safe, healing environment Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional needs throughout their cancer journey
