Working mornings from 7:30 to 11:30 AM, your specialized nursing skills will help ensure the well-being and educational success of an 18-year-old student needing skilled trach care. What you bring: Active, current RN license in Michigan (a screenshot of your license is required as part of the application process) Experience in school nursing or related fields Competence and confidence in trach care Compassion, professionalism, and the ability to work independently in a 1:1 educational care environment Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and staff Ability to maintain and document care using electronic medical records, while upholding privacy and confidentiality Responsibilities include: Delivering direct nursing care, primarily trach management and related needs, to one student Monitoring the student’s condition, responding promptly to any changes, and updating care plans as necessary Serving as a vital liaison between the school, family, and healthcare providers Supporting the student in adapting to the school environment, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the day Educating staff as appropriate on general care procedures and emergency protocols Secure a rewarding, specialized role designed for those who are comfortable and capable in 1:1 trach care.
