Medical Scribe
We are seeking Medical Scribes to support healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real time. This role works closely with physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced outpatient setting, ensuring timely, precise, and complete medical records so providers can remain focused on patient care.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Open to candidates with partial availability (3–4 full days/week)
Must be able to travel between Jacksonville clinic locations
Compensation
$14/hour during training
$15/hour after training completion
Key Responsibilities
Document patient encounters in real time within the EHR
Capture detailed clinical information including:
Chief complaint
History of present illness (HPI)
Review of systems (ROS)
Past medical history
Record physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans
Document procedures, lab results, imaging findings, and provider interpretations
Prepare and complete clinical notes for provider review and signature
Track and enter orders for labs, imaging, referrals, and prescriptions as directed
Assist with chart preparation and post-visit documentation
Communicate with providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation as needed
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and clinic documentation standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Strong typing, listening, and organizational skills
High attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience as a medical scribe, medical assistant, or in a healthcare setting is a plus
Training
On-the-job training provided
Training on medical terminology and EHR systems
HIPAA and compliance training included
