Job Description
The DXC employee will:
- Work with the local client dock employees to ensure the equipment is properly prepared for local transport to the designated building.
- Attach one local movement document and one off-site shipping document (if applicable) to each pallet or box being shipped.
- Update the depot's inventory spreadsheet to show what equipment has been shipped.
- Update the SNOW task by listing the local movement document number, off-site shipping document number (if applicable), transfer order number (if applicable), asset numbers, and a description of the items shipped.
- Keep all shipping documents for depot records and attach them to the SNOW/email request before filing.
*Forklift certification is required.*
Duplicate Request Meaning: A ticket already has an asset assigned to it. Because of that, another asset cannot be issued to the same ticket.
If a request is identified as a duplicate, the DXC employee will place the task on hold for further investigation. The DXC employee will then review the information in the SNOW request or email and pull the appropriate equipment as specified.
All local movement documents must include:
- Number of boxes
- Number of equipment items
- Number of pallets
- List of asset numbers
- SNOW ticket number (if applicable)
- Description of all other items being shipped
Note: If equipment is being shipped off-site, an off-site shipping document is required and must include the same information as the local movement document.
If equipment is being shipped off-site to an assigned depot, a SNOW transfer order must be created to account for all assets being shipped.
