Psychiatrist (MD/DO) Full-Time Outpatient + Inpatient Texas

Overview:

We are seeking a Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role focuses on delivering high-quality psychiatric care, managing complex cases, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.

What You ll Be Doing:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions
  • Manage both inpatient and outpatient populations
  • Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits
  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
  • Provide post-discharge follow-up care
  • Participate in emergency mental health coverage (shared call schedule)
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and care teams across settings
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in the EMR

Patient Volume:

  • 6 one-hour visits OR shorter visits per day
  • Mix of new evaluations and follow-ups
  • Adult population with moderate to high acuity

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist with peer reviews and case evaluations as needed
  • Ensure compliance with clinical and documentation standards
  • Maintain timely follow-up on labs, consults, and patient communication

Requirements:

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • Active, unrestricted medical license (any U.S. state)
  • Active DEA
  • BLS & ACLS certification
  • Experience with adult or inpatient psychiatry preferred
