Required Skills:

• Valid Texas (or reciprocal state) nursing license
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Demonstrated computer and electronic health record skills
• Experience with IDD and psychiatric populations preferred
• Ability to respond swiftly and appropriately in emergency situations
• Knowledge of safety and infection control procedures

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience working in a healthcare facility serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Additional certifications in emergency response or specialized nursing procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Licensed as a vocational nurse in Texas or a state recognizing reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact
• Minimum of 6 months of relevant nursing experience preferred, especially in IDD or psychiatric settings

Other Requirements:

• Valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification
• Negative PPD results within the last 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination and testing as required
• Ability to pass urine drug testing and FBI fingerprint background check
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including days and evenings, with extended hours as needed

This position offers competitive pay at $37.50 per hour, with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits, and a robust referral bonus program. The role is scheduled to start on 05/12/2026, with shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., including one 4-hour shift. Candidates must be available for a minimum 6-month contract, with flexibility for returning nurses.
