Principal Accountabilities

Manage food safety and quality inspections. Monitor product and confidently uphold product quality

Train personnel to distinguish between acceptable product and product that does not meet Cargill's quality standard

Instruct and support line employees on job performance

Communicate with leads, supervisors, and managers on the production floor

Provide support for the area superintendent

Assist the FSQR Supervisor with everyday production floor operations and communicate any immediate findings

Assist, support, and cover technician positions in the absence of others

Perform all FSQR food safety and quality checks

Manage technicians' annual training and new-hire training

Assist in managing the production floor during small-scale contaminations, incidents, findings

Manage FSQR technicians' schedules, coverage, and breaks

Lead and manage product inspections

Required Qualifications

Must be able to taste samples of finished product to ensure they meet customer specifications and document any findings

Knowledge of product specifications and general operations

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation policies

Ability to train and coach employees on product specifications and quality

Ability to recognize a problem and demonstrate sound decision-making skills

Must be able to speak, read, & write in English

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Able to lift up to 40 lbs

Good attendance and safety record, defined as four (4) attendance points or fewer and no written safety warnings (applies to internal employees only)

Preferred Qualifications

Past food safety or quality experience in the processing industry

Leadership experience in a processing facility environment
