Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician / 2nd Shift
Actively supports all maintenance programs to improve machine performance. Identifies and suggests design changes to increase equipment life span, reduce costs, increase production efficiency, and improve product quality.

Brings health and safety issues, unsafe acts and safety suggestions to management's attention or corrects those they can.

This is a 2nd Shift position, with work hours 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, with overtime during the week or on the weekend.

What You’ll Be Doing

Actively participate in accident, injury and illness prevention activities.

Identify and correct hazards and unsafe conditions.

Investigate accident, near‑miss or potential hazard incidents.

Observe fellow employee work practices and incorporate safety.

Mentor new co‑workers in hazard recognition and safe work behavior.

Maintain housekeeping in the work area.

Maintain health and safety equipment in good working order.

Support the MESH Policy and Procedures.

Understand, support, and comply with all regulatory standards and company policies.

Communicate with co‑workers, management, internal and external customers, and others in a courteous, professional, and proactive manner.

Participate in preventative maintenance and corrective action.

Provide own hand tools.

Job Responsibilities

Understand and apply National Electric Code regulations.

Install and maintain electrical systems, including running conduit, pulling wire, control wiring, and troubleshooting.

Read and understand blueprints, manuals, and diagrams to accomplish assigned tasks.

Possess a strong mechanical background, including hydraulic and pneumatic system repair and application.

Perform Arc, TIG, and MIG welding, including oxy‑acetylene cutting and brazing.

Use machine tools to perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, boring, and reaming operations.

Work with minimal direction.

Possess computer skills to use Maintenance Work Order software.

Operate lift trucks, man lifts and boom lifts to work in elevated locations.

Fabricate various devices and mechanisms to improve, repair or replace that which is not operating properly or efficiently.

Troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

What We’re Looking For
Required (Basic) Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Industrial mechanical/electrical experience, minimum five (5) years or an Associate’s degree plus three (3) years experience.

Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.

Must be local – no relocation offered.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to use advanced testing equipment and hand tools.

PC Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Datastream.

Basic mechanical knowledge.

Understanding of NFPA 70 including NFPA 70E.

Basic PLC logic circuit troubleshooting.

Boiler and Pressure Vessel experience.

Pneumatic & Hydraulic experience.

Fire Suppression Systems experience.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work successfully in a team environment.

Electrician License (Residential/Commercial/Master).

Boiler and Pressure Vessel Certification.

HVAC License.

Pneumatic & Hydraulic technician certification.

PLC Certification.

Fire Suppression Systems License.
