The Assurance Operations Manager serves as a key resource and advocate for the department’s core systems, processes, and best practices. This individual will drive user adoption of assurance technologies, lead process documentation and training initiatives, and partner cross‑functionally to enhance operational efficiency. This role plays a critical part in standardizing processes, improving workflows, and ensuring the Assurance team operates at scale.
Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert for assurance software (e.g., DataSnipper, CCH Workflow, ProSystem fx Engagement, Laurel, CaseWare).
Act as the primary point of contact for user support, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Promote adoption and effective utilization of tools across the Assurance team.
Develop, maintain, and enhance process documentation within the Assurance SharePoint site.
Provide ongoing communication to the team, including weekly tips, updates, and best practices to drive continuous learning.
Review and manage updates to PPC templates and engagement letters, ensuring consistency and compliance.
Partner with Learning & Development to design and deliver training for new hires and existing team members.
Support ongoing education initiatives to enhance technical proficiency and process knowledge.
Maintain and update Assurance department policies to reflect current standards, regulatory requirements, and internal practices.
Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance efficiency, and drive consistency across Assurance Operations.
Lead and support initiatives focused on process optimization and standardization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
3+ years of experience in audit or assurance
Experience with assurance technologies such as DataSnipper, CCH Workflow, ProSystem fx Engagement, Laurel, and CaseWare
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across teams
Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
