PRIMARY PURPOSE
The
Server
is responsible for providing refined, anticipatory, and personalized service that meets the standards the standards of our luxury guests as well as those set for Forbes Five-Star properties and members of Relais & Chateaux. This role ensures that every guest dining experience is seamless, elegant, and memorable by demonstrating mastery of food and beverage knowledge, refined service techniques, and intuitive hospitality. By delivering genuine, attentive, and professional service, the Server plays an essential role in creating lasting impressions and elevating the property’s reputation for excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide personalized, intuitive service by greeting guests by name, recognizing preferences, and anticipating unspoken needs.
Demonstrate mastery of Forbes Five-Star service standards to ensure consistent excellence throughout the dining experience>
Maintain complete knowledge of menu and beverage offerings, including preparation, sourcing stories, ingredients, and dietary accommodations.
Present food and beverage items with precision and polish, ensuring consistency in portioning,.
Ensure compliance with all state liquor regulations and responsible service practices.
Operate POS and manual systems accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with culinary, beverage, and events teams to deliver seamless,li>
Execute opening, closing, and side work duties with precision and timeliness.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
Continuously expand knowledge of seasonal menus, wine and spirit selections, and service refinement.
Uphold property standards of quality, safety, and professionalism in all guest interactions.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years of fine dining service experience, preferably within a Forbes Five-Star, Relais & Châteaux, or luxury hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and beer; formal training or certifications preferred.
Certification in responsible alcohol service (TIPS, ServSafe, or equivalent) required.
Food Handler’s Certification required.
High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or culinary coursework preferred.
Refined communication skills with ability to engage in genuine, professional guest interactions.
Elevated attention to detail with ability to choreograph service timing and flow seamlessly.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly between service areas.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
