Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, 0 to 1, etc.).
3 years of experience developing or launching products or technologies within artificial intelligence or machine learning (AI/ML).
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with A/B testing and experimentation, with the ability to work with business, product, technical teams, and data scientists.
Experience launching and iterating on successful products in a data-driven environment.
Knowledge of AI/machine learning, information retrieval, and statistical concepts, with experience with AI/ML, deep learning models, LLMs, data analysis.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-analysis and experimentation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $192,000–$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Own the product strategy and roadmap for YouTube’s user quality ranking systems. Deliver opportunities through ML algorithms, auction design, and relevance models to drive long‑term business growth while protecting the user experience.
Define key metrics for measuring ranking quality, relevance, and user impact. Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate changes and make data‑driven decisions.
Partner with engineering and data science teams to conceptualize, develop, and refine ranking models and algorithms. Understand the technical trade‑offs and guide the development of signals and features that improve relevance and quality.
Partner with ML and back‑end engineering teams to build and deploy next‑generation ranking models (e.g., deep learning, contextual signals, predictive engagement models).
Develop an understanding of user needs, behaviors, and issues related to Ads on YouTube.
