About This Role
This role will lead the Heat Exchangers and Valves for the Climate Solutions Transportation BU. You will directly manage these categories and collaborate with Carrier’s global supply chain team to drive Resiliency, Productivity, and Innovation for this Business Unit. You will partner with the Business Leader to ensure our supply chain is connected to our customers. Key responsibilities include fostering cross‑functional collaboration, managing vendor relationships, and leading a team of supply chain leaders. The role also focuses on cost optimization, innovation, and aligning sourcing with long‑term product and technology strategies.

Job Description

Collaborate with Sub BU and Global Category teams to build short and long‑term strategies to ensure operational excellence and efficiencies are met.

Establish a cross‑functional network and foster collaboration with suppliers, wider supply chain organization, engineering, quality, and product management.

Own the vendor performance data and reports metrics to leadership.

Partner with Global and Sub BU Category Leaders to execute strategies for Climate Solutions Transportation.

Collaborate within the Global Strategic Sourcing team and across Product Management and Engineering to align on long‑term strategy, technology roadmap, and risk mitigation.

Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations.

Collaborate with Sub BU Category Leaders to evaluate supplier category markets, evaluate new suppliers, report on market conditions, and understand trends related to cost drivers and global pricing to ensure our strategic sourcing competitiveness.

Work with suppliers and internal teams to identify VA/VE opportunities and lead initiatives to drive cost‑out, eliminate inefficiencies, and achieve supply surety.

Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and NPI teams to enhance our global product generation process to ensure we incorporate our strategic supplier partnerships in our new product innovation process.

Manage a team of buyers and supply chain leaders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years’ experience in Supply Chain or an Advanced degree with 10+ years’ experience in Supply Chain.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, finance, or business.

MBA or professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, CIRM, CPIM).

Strategic sourcing experience.

Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Experience with strategic sourcing and lean tools.

Digital dexterity and ability to leverage data.

Strong knowledge of supply chain strategy (development and execution) and category specific experience.

Independently driven problem solver with appetite to address complex challenges in a fast‑moving environment.

Proven track record of successful leadership, negotiation, and strategic communication.

Strong business acumen and experience collaborating across various levels within a diverse, global organization.

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short‑term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
