Fellowship Overview
At NorthBay Health, the Administrative Fellowship is designed to be a learning and exposure experience for the Fellow in a real‑life healthcare environment. The Fellow will meet, interact, observe, and be exposed to real‑life business situations while contributing to work product. The Fellow will interact with staff, physicians, and leaders in the organization, participating in activities and initiatives related to operations practice and supporting strategic initiatives regarding continuity of service, compliance, regulatory, and professional standards, fostering collaborative interdisciplinary relationships.
Program Details
Program starts July 1, 2026, and concludes June 26, 2028. Rotations include inpatient operations, outpatient operations, and corporate rotations. A capstone project will be required for program completion.
Responsibilities
Meet and collaborate with staff, physicians, and leaders.
Observe and participate in real‑life business operations.
Support strategic initiatives related to continuity, compliance, regulation, and professional standards.
Foster collaborative interdisciplinary relationships.
Perform additional duties based on level of understanding of practice management responsibilities.
Complete a capstone project to successfully complete the fellowship.
Qualifications
Education
Completion of Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH), Business Administration (MBA), or another related master’s program before the fellowship start date.
Experience
Healthcare industry experience, including internship, externship, fellowship, or applicable employment preferred.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Well organized and able to set priorities.
Work independently and as an effective team member.
Effective time‑management and superior critical‑thinking skills.
Highly collaborative, open to learning, and willing to assume new responsibilities.
Have accountability, build effective relationships, and operate under pressure.
Maintain confidentiality and professional appearance.
Entrepreneurial spirit and success in creating novel solutions to complex problems.
