Job Title: Senior Litigation Paralegal - Business Litigation
Location: Coral Gables, FL | Position Type: Full-Time On-Site
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in business and commercial litigation to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly organized and proactive professional who can independently manage complex matters, support attorneys in high-stakes disputes, and contribute to case strategy from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable handling sophisticated litigation involving corporate entities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all phases of business and commercial litigation , including pre-suit investigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
* Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and legal correspondence
* Assist attorneys with case strategy, factual analysis, and document review in complex commercial disputes
* Organize and manage large volumes of documents, including electronic discovery (e-discovery) and production
* Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies, case timelines, and key issue analyses
* Coordinate and manage state and federal e-filings in compliance with court rules and deadlines
* Maintain and track litigation calendars, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial dates
* Communicate effectively with clients, corporate representatives, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
* Prepare trial materials , including exhibits, witness files, trial binders, and demonstratives
* Assist during trial, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations
* Support billing processes, including time entry and expense tracking when needed
* Mentor junior staff and assist in improving internal litigation workflows
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience , with a focus on business or commercial litigation (required)
* Strong knowledge of Florida state and federal court rules , procedures, and e-filing systems
* Experience handling complex cases involving contracts, partnerships, corporate disputes, and/or business torts
* Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and document management systems
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-level matters
* Strong analytical, writing, and proofreading abilities
* High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential business information
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software
