Project Controls Coordinator IV
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Possible Extension)
Position Overview
The Project Controls Coordinator IV is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of project controls, including cost management, scheduling, forecasting, and change management. This role partners closely with engineering, planning, and construction teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with full visibility into performance and risks.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the Project Controls Plan, including cost estimates, control budgets, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Track and monitor project performance, including forecast at completion, incurred costs, and budget adherence
Provide detailed variance analysis and explain cost and schedule deviations
Develop and maintain project schedules aligned with project objectives and key milestones
Update schedules based on actual progress and forecast remaining durations and completion timelines
Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) and ensure accurate reporting of CPI and earned value metrics
Manage change control processes, including initiation of PCOs, trends, and AFE revisions; support supplemental funding requests
Identify risks proactively and communicate mitigation strategies effectively
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including construction, engineering, and project management
Communicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and leadership
Required Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
10+ years of experience in project controls within construction or infrastructure projects
Experience in renewable energy (solar or wind) or large-scale infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and project performance tracking
Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
Familiarity with change management processes such as PCOs and AFE revisions
Technical Skills
Experience with Ecosys, Oracle, and Power BI
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools
