Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Location: Cocoa Beach, FL
Pay: $28–$38 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Inspector to support fabrication operations through in‑process and final inspections of fabricated steel components. The ideal candidate will have experience working in structural steel fabrication environments and will ensure materials meet required specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform documented daily inspections of fabricated steel in an AISC‑certified facility producing structural steel (D1.1 / D1.5 standards)
Identify, document, and address non‑conformances
Inspect fabricated materials to ensure compliance with shop drawings
Verify dimensional layout and placement of parts
Conduct both in‑process and final inspections
Participate in annual AISC Quality Control audits
Maintain accuracy and thoroughness when inspecting fabricated materials
Support quality improvement initiatives and help promote high‑quality standards
Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality‑related issues
Perform additional job‑related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in steel layout and fabrication
Ability to read and interpret fabrication and construction drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
AWS Welding Certification (D1.1 and/or D1.5) preferred
Experience inspecting fabricated structural steel components is strongly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
