You’ll work closely with managers, engineers, platformdevelopers, analysts, and external vendors to deliver a variety of digital andbusiness improvement initiatives.
You’ll lead cross‑functional project teams and take end‑to‑end ownership of projects across the full delivery lifecycle. Upcoming programmes of work include initiatives such as a GIS replacement, field tools, and records management system implementations.
Key responsibilities
Defining scope and developing business cases in collaboration with stakeholders
Delivering projects within the Northpower Network Strategic Initiatives portfolio, from vendor selection through to implementation, delivery, and handover
Driving outcomes that support Customer Experience, Asset Management, Network Operations, and other core functions
Supporting change management activities alongside analysts, developers, and business users
Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on progress, milestones, risks, and dependencies across multiple projects
About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring experience in a similar project management position within a digital and/or electricity or utilities environment, ideally with exposure to asset management or operational systems.
You’ll understand what it takes to deliver complex projects, manage change effectively, and provide clear governance and reporting.
You’ll also be comfortable working across a range of project management and software development methodologies, including environments involving integrated, spatial, and cloud‑based systems.
Experience with Geospatial, Distribution Management/SCADA, Customer Management, and Asset Management systems (advantageous)
Strong digital capability, including proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project
Strong relationship‑building skills and a collaborative working style
Excellent influencing and change management capability
Clear, confident communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to engage and negotiate with diverse stakeholders
Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
Solid financial literacy, including budgeting and reporting
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills
