Position Summary
Key Responsibilities :
Maintenance Operations & Reliability
Lead maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of production equipment and facility systems.
Minimize downtime through effective preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
Partner with Production, Quality, and Sanitation to ensure equipment meets operational, safety, and food safety standards.
Oversee CMMS utilization to drive KPIs related to preventive maintenance, work orders, inventory, and budget performance.
Provide PLC Controls support and service to all CAI Manufacturing Operations as needed.
Provide HMI Support and services to all CAI Manufacturing Operations as needed.
Compliance, Safety and Food Safety
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, SQF, HACCP, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Support and lead plant safety initiatives related to equipment and facility operations.
Participate in food safety system reviews and audits; assist in maintaining SQF and quality system requirements.
Ensure maintenance team members are trained on food safety, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Leadership and Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop maintenance supervisors, leads, and technicians.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement and Capital Projects
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, asset lifecycle, and plant efficiency.
Lead capital projects and manage the maintenance budget in alignment with annual plans.
Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs related to maintenance, parts inventory, energy management, and equipment care.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and equipment vendors.
Oversee contractor performance to ensure safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience (7+ years in maintenance leadership within food manufacturing preferred).
PLC /HMI Control experience.
5+ years of progressive maintenance management experience, including direct people leadership.
Experience in food processing or CPG manufacturing required.
Engineering design and capital project management experience preferred.
Advanced technical and equipment expertise with a strong understanding of maintenance systems.
Proficiency in CMMS and maintenance KPI management.
Strong knowledge of safety, regulatory, and food safety compliance requirements.
Experience managing maintenance budgets and capital planning.
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on reliability and operational excellence.
