Job Overview
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is a diverse team focused on enhancing quality of education for Ohio’s students and supporting workforce development.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the College in High School Administrator and Graduation and Pathways Administrator on special projects.
Conduct education policy research and analysis related to dual enrollment, advanced standing programs, and high school graduation requirements.
Present research results in written and graphical formats.
Prepare presentations and resources for stakeholder engagement.
Interpret and communicate legislation, administrative code, and state policy regarding high school graduation requirements or related subject areas.
Assist with application processes and seasonal deadlines as needed.
Provide daily assistance and support to staff for various office functions: maintaining databases (inputs information, sorts and filters information, generates reports), retaining and organizing electronic and hard‑copy files, assisting office staff in development and distribution of materials.
Attend meetings, convenings, or conferences as assigned.
Perform routine clerical work.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Current enrollment in a baccalaureate or graduate degree program.
Knowledge:
Agency Policies & Procedures; Law and Government; Clerical; Customer and Personal Service; Education and Training.
Skills:
Active Learning; Critical Thinking; Comprehension (oral, written, reading); Communication (oral, active listening, written); Research; Software Applications: Microsoft Office.
Abilities:
Reasoning; Oral Expression.
