JR36477### Job TitlePhysical Distribution Employee II Admin### Job Description### **Job Summary:**The Vanderlande Administrator is responsible for handling the administrative processes associated with outbound shipments. This includes preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with forwarding, tracking orders, and ensuring that all customer orders are shipped accurately and on time. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining operational efficiency and delivering excellent customer service.### **Key Responsibilities:*** Prepare and process shipping documents including packing slips, shipping labels, bills of lading.* Coordinate daily outbound shipments with warehouse fowarding teams and transportation carriers.* Ensure accurate and timely entry of shipping data into Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and SharePoint.* Verify shipment contents and packaging accuracy prior to dispatch.* Schedule pickups* Track outgoing shipments and provide delivery status updates to relevant teams or customers.* Resolve shipping discrepancies or delays with internal departments.* Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities for audit and compliance purposes.* Support the warehouse team with other administrative tasks as needed.* Assist in generating reports related to shipping performance, freight costs, and on-time delivery metrics.### **Requirements:*** Prior experience in a shipping or warehouse administrative role, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.* Proficiency with WMS.* Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail.* Effective communication and coordination skills.* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.* High school diploma or equivalent (logistics or supply chain coursework is a plus).### **Preferred Qualifications:*** Experience with Excel* Experience in a high-volume distribution center or e-commerce environment.**Knowledge-Skills-Abilities (Competencies):*** Ability to work in a team environment and is aware of team responsibility* Shows attention for safety* Maintain productivity levels* Communicates well, thinks, and has result-oriented attitude**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:**This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, may require Holiday and OT work. **Travel:**This position may require some travel on an as needed basis**Supervisory Responsibility:**This position has no supervisory responsibilities.**Work Environment and Physical Demands:**The work environment/physical requirements described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.* Employee will be working in an warehouse/manufacturing environment. Temperature can vary: cold temperatures of 40 degrees, and will be required to wear jacket or warm/hot temperature of 70+ degrees. Noise levels of 90 decibels can be reached at certain times. Can be exposed to fumes or airborne particles while in manufacturing environment.* Knowledge and utilization of PPE (i.e., safety glasses, gloves, etc.) is required.* While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. Operate and maintain equipment and measurement instruments.* While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.* The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and rarely 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
