At NorthBay Health, we are looking for a Board-Certified, Licensed Urgent Care Physician to join our respected health system in Northern California. Our Urgent Care centers provide high-quality, immediate care for non-life-threatening conditions, with compassionate staff and easy access to a comprehensive network of specialists if needed. Locations & Schedule
Locations: Benicia, American Canyon, Dixon, Rio Vista, Fairfield, Vacaville
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Inpatient/Outpatient Responsibilities: Outpatient only
Call Ratio: Balanced call ratio shared among physicians and sites
Daily Patient Census: Average 20-40 patients per day
Equipment/Resources: Access to state-of-the-art medical equipment and comprehensive resources
Provider Support: Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
Primary Responsibilities
Consult with patients to assess urgent care needs and determine appropriate treatment plans
Recommend and order diagnostic tests to evaluate illnesses and injuries
Monitor lab results and medication adherence
Prescribe treatments, therapies, medications, and vaccinations as necessary
Educate patients and families on procedures, test results, and treatment options
Refer patients to specialists when needed
Actively participate in hospital committees and initiatives
Collaborate with and supervise APPs to enhance patient care
Qualifications
MD or DO degree
Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related field
Licensed to practice medicine in the state of California
Proven experience in urgent care or emergency medicine settings
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Compensation and Perks
Income Guarantee at $354,000
Full-time: 15 shifts per month - 1 shift: 10 hours
APP Supervision: $12,000 per year per 1.0 FTE APP
Signing Bonus: up to $30,000
Retention Bonus (beginning at the completion of the 2nd year): up to $30,000 per year
Relocation bonus: Up to $10,000 (based on location)
