Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting a global insurance brokerage in seeking a Regulatory Insurance Attorney to join their team on a primarily hybrid engagement. While hybrid candidates are preferred, strong fully remote candidates will also be considered.

Role Details

Start: ASAP

Duration: 4–6 months, with potential for extension

Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Location: Hybrid preferred in Arlington, VA; Philadelphia, PA; New York, NY; or Nashville, TN

Remote candidates will be considered

Pay Rate: Starting at $85 hourly, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

5–10 years of relevant corporate and commercial legal experience; prior in-house experience is a plus

Experience with insurance regulatory law, including:

Property & casualty insurance (including surplus lines) and/or

Health and benefits (including employee benefits) (Experience in both areas preferred but not required)

Familiarity with reinsurance laws and regulations is a plus

Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing

Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school

Core Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong negotiation abilities

Ability to identify legal risks and propose practical solutions in transactional documents

Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills

Proven ability to work independently with sound judgment and minimal supervision

Ability to clearly summarize legal issues and present actionable recommendations to leadership

Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills

Results-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
