Specialists in Medical Imaging (SMI) services three hospitals and additional outpatient imaging sites in the Central Illinois towns of Peoria and Pekin, Illinois. Single worklist allows for efficient reading across the practice. Broad range of subspecialty expertise present in the practice allows for easy consultation with peers for second opinions. Collaborative atmosphere is fostered.
Specialists in Medical Imaging (SMI) is seeking a Full-Time Musculoskeletal Radiologist. This is a hybrid day position. Musculoskeletal fellowship training preferred. Qualified candidates should be comfortable with all MSK and general diagnostic studies (MSK 40‑50%). Ability to grow practice if candidate has expertise in joint injections and MSK ultrasounds or procedures. Body MRI or neuroimaging is a plus.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule: Day | Monday – Friday, hours typically between 7:30am-5pm CST
Evening/Night coverage provided by separate dedicated night shift team
Equitable sharing of backup 1:6 weekend and evening
ight call responsibilities
1-year partnership track position
Internal moonlighting opportunities available if desired
Competitive salary with $100K Bonus

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, Board-certified and residency trained in Diagnostic Radiology
Board certified/eligible by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology or Board certified in Diagnostic Radiology
Musculoskeletal Fellowship trained PREFERRED, but not required
Comfortable with all MSK and general diagnostic studies (MSK 40‑50%)
Grow practice with joint injections, MSK Ultrasound and other procedures
Body MRI and Neuroimaging a plus
Ability to secure an Illinois license
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $500,000-$575,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
