Lead Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Location:

Wage:
$38–$45/hour + $5.10-$7.00/hour overnight shift differential
Bonus Eligible:
Up to $7,000 signing bonus
Beacon Veterinary Specialists is a criticalist‑led 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital seeking experienced Lead Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT) to help coordinate clinical workflow, support patient care, and provide guidance to the technician team during busy ER and specialty caseloads.
This role works closely with hospital supervisors and the Clinical Services Manager to support efficient operations, maintain high standards of patient care, and provide mentorship to clinical staff.
What You’ll Do
Help direct patient flow, caseload, and clinical resources during shifts
Assist with patient care and support other departments as needed
Coordinate incoming emergency cases and lead triage
Delegate tasks and help allocate workloads across the clinical team
Provide feedback, guidance, and mentorship to technicians and assistants
Assist supervisors with staff instruction and follow‑up
Support rounds during shift changes to ensure continuity of care
Ensure medical records, documentation, and patient charges are accurate and complete
Assign and oversee training or development projects during slower periods
Communicate client and referring veterinarian concerns to hospital leadership
Qualifications
Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license required
Minimum 5 years of experience working as an RVT in an Emergency or Specialty veterinary hospital
Compassion for people and pets
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide effective feedback
Confidence directing workflow and delegating tasks
Self‑motivated with strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced clinical environment
A creative problem solver who thrives when presented with challenges
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs during shifts
