JOB TITLE: Student Practitioner Application
REPORTS TO:
MPS Building Principal, Director or Coordinator
This is not a regular job posting - This is for college students only who are completing their student teaching or internship with Mesa Public Schools.

Overview
Student Teachers, Interns and Observers are college students in volunteer roles within Mesa Public Schools for the purpose of gaining experience in the classroom setting. Student volunteers support the MPS Promise by fostering students’ academic, behavioral, social and emotional growth as they prepare for college, career and community.
Qualifications
Concurrently enrolled in college courses.
Completed the MPS Field Experience Agreement.
Hold a valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Duties and Responsibilities
Work in conjunction with a Mentor Teacher to observe and support classroom activities.
Comply with MPS professional dress and behavior standards.
Exhibit exemplary punctuality and attendance by missing no more than three workdays, with appropriate coverage and communication if an absence occurs.
Support students’ skill development as aligned to the MPS Portrait of a Graduate.
