Job Description
The Technician II Equipment Line provides technical support relating to equipment utilized in the manufacturing areas by repairing, maintaining, or modifying production equipment utilizing technical expertise, technical manuals, schematic drawings, precision tools, and test equipment.
Responsibilities
Respond to assembly line equipment repair calls, diagnose equipment problems, and perform necessary repairs.
Document equipment qualifications and upgrades made to existing machines, including preventive maintenance performed and parts used, to ensure appropriate documentation of repair history in the MP2 maintenance database.
Maintain back‑up equipment and ensure spare parts are maintained at required levels to meet manufacturing equipment needs.
Assist industrial, manufacturing, and quality engineers in the operation of equipment.
Provide equipment development engineers with feedback on equipment issues and offers suggestions for improving equipment uptime.
Assist in the construction of worktables, providing necessary utilities, and setting up equipment on manufacturing assembly lines.
Modify existing assembly lines or workstations as required to accommodate manufacturing demands.
Plan, organize, and prioritize own daily work routine to meet established schedule.
Solve a variety of problems of limited to moderate scope and complexity requiring basic interpretation of defined procedures and practices.
Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information or documents.
Required Qualifications
Education Level: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Associates Degree (± 13 years) or some college credits preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of related work experience. 2-5 years of related work experience. Applies broad knowledge of general technical concepts and practices, and a general understanding of product or systems fundamentals.
Utilizes increased knowledge of numerical and statistical data and computer software programs to resolve non‑routine/moderately complex problems. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations. Performs non‑routine to moderately complex technical assignments using standard methods and sequences. Performs set‑up, testing, repair, inspection, and/or maintenance of all area‑specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or product. Makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed. Assignments require broad judgment in troubleshooting proven processes as well as the ability to suggest alternatives.
