We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Fleet Mechanic position to join our Nottingham, PA team!

SCHEDULE:

Monday-Friday schedule, approximately 40+ hours a week.

HOURS:

9:00am-7:00pm

Job Summary
Repairs and maintains diesel and gasoline commercial trucks by performing the following duties. Must live or relocate to within 45 minutes of the branch.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional years of experience are a plus.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Must have working knowledge that relates to total engine repair and replacement, running gear and suspension, electrical and welding on all company owned vehicles.

Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English.

Must possess a stable work history with good references.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain and repair a fleet of light duty delivery trucks (under 10,000 gvw).

Read job order and observe and listen to truck in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.

Class A CDL License.

Inspection License for class 8 trucks.

Perform preventative maintenance inspections.

Maintain a company implemented Preventive Maintenance Program for all branch company vehicles.

Install new ignition systems, align front wheels, change or recharge batteries, replace transmissions and other parts.

Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and make adjustments.

Lubricate moving parts and drive repaired truck to verify conformance to specifications.

Maintain parts inventory.

Ensure all work orders are completed and entered for repair work completed.

Work with Fleet Manager on any problems or issues with trucks, people, inventory, budget and any additional areas of concern that arise.

Review and be responsible for budgets on all branch vehicles with Branch Manager.

Coordinate with Route Sales People the repairs performed and note any deficiency.

Coordinate outside work with all subcontractors used.
