Responsibilities
Serve food on patient tray line and in cafeteria to meet the dietary needs of patients and staff.
Maintain sanitation standards and follow Department of Public Health regulations to ensure food quality.
Prepares diets and food requisitions, obtain accurate patient, staff, and guest meal counts.
Follow dietary and hospital safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Treat patients and staff courteously to better serve their dietary needs.
Meet hospital attendance policy.

Education and Experience Requirements
Must possess good physical and mental health to perform job-related duties.
On the job training will be provided although some food preparation experience would be helpful.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in order to operate food service equipment and follow direction.
Must be able to complete assigned tasks in order to provide an efficient, safe, sanitary, attractive and orderly facility.
Qualifications
Must have a HS Diploma or GED.
Previous work experience in food service and/or a Hospital/Behavioral Health setting preferred.
Must be able to pass an extensive background check and fingerprint clearance for the state of MI.
