is the largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization in the world. We are a non-profit organization and since 1944, the League’s mission has been saving the lives of pets through adoption, rescue and advocacy initiatives. Every year, the League reaches across the country to rescue, nurture and adopt nearly 20,000 pets into happy and loving homes

Ideal candidates must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, work well with staff members, be detail oriented and have excellent communication skills.

Our full-time LVT’s enjoy a 10 hour/4 day or 8 hour/5 day workweek.

Must be flexible to work additional hours when workload requires.

Experience a plus, but will train new graduates!

Requirements:

NYS Veterinary Technician license, limited permit or currently enrolled in an AVMA school program.

Must be proficient in all technical skills.

Must be mature, responsible, energetic, and able to work well in a team atmosphere.

Must be able to multi-task and perform in a fast paced environment.

Ability to handle and control animals.

Communicate with clients; provide support to families.

Attend rounds and perform all other related duties as needed.

Must love animals and fully support the mission of NSALA.

Salary:

$25.00 – 32.00 per hour
