
Maintenance Mechanic

The Small Engine Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engine equipment such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping or construction tools. This role ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical issues on small engine equipment (2-cycle and 4-cycle engines)
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, spark plug replacement, air filter cleaning, and blade sharpening
Repair or replace defective parts including carburetors, fuel systems, ignition systems, and starters
Service equipment such as:
Walk-behind and riding mowers
String trimmers and edgers
Leaf blowers
Chainsaws
Stump grinders and skid steers (basic small engine components)
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Ensure all tools and work areas are clean and organized
Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
Assist with equipment inspections and preventative maintenance schedules
Communicate repair needs and timelines with management
