Job Description

CoWorx Staffing Services has a Direct Hire opportunity for an Electrician based out of Lawrenceville, GA. This company serves the Metro Atlanta area, including Norcross and Lawrenceville, handling projects from tenant buildouts to industrial power systems. They specialize in commercial installation, 24/7 service, and design-build projects. The Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing electrical systems in commercial and/or industrial facilities. This position requires strong technical competency, independent problem‑solving skills, and professional customer interaction. Technicians must be capable of working safely under NEC standards while maintaining accurate documentation and timely communication with dispatch and management.
Work Schedule: Full‑time schedule with potential for overtime. 1st shift 6am‑2pm Monday to Friday with flexibility for project needs. Weekend overtime potential as needed. Pay: $25‑35 an hour depending on experience. Service truck and gas card provided.

Responsibilities

Technical & Field Work

Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480V (or as applicable)
Diagnose control circuits (24V, 120V, 277V, 480V)
Repair lighting systems, ballasts, LED drivers, panels, breakers, transformers, and motor controls
Identify and correct code violations in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Perform service upgrades, panel replacements, and circuit additions
Troubleshoot low‑voltage control systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and one‑line diagrams
Perform infrared or diagnostic testing when required
Provide accurate material lists for repairs
Customer & Communication

Communicate findings clearly with customers and service managers
Present repair options and recommendations professionally
Maintain a clean, organized work area
Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
Documentation & Administrative

Complete detailed service reports daily
Submit photos, material receipts, and documentation in required system
Accurately track labor hours and job notes
Follow dispatch procedures and job close‑out protocols
Safety

Adhere to OSHA and company safety policies
Use PPE properly
Perform lockout/tagout procedures when required
Identify and mitigate jobsite hazards
Desired Background/Skills

Drug‑Free Workplace – Drug Screen upon offer, Background check required
3–5+ years electrical field experience (service preferred)
Strong troubleshooting ability
Working knowledge of NEC
Ability to work independently
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders/lifts
Journeyman License (if applicable in state)
Experience with commercial service work
Experience with motor controls and VFDs
Bucket truck and/or lift certification
Analytical troubleshooting mindset
Strong time management
Professional communication
Attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple service calls per day
