
Mechanical Engineering Intern (August-December)

Scope
Utilize and enhance analysis tools. Conduct testing as defined by Mechanical Engineers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Use LabVIEW & Matlab to control a test system and the collection and analysis of data.
Enhance testing using LabVIEW and Matlab programming and by implementing new design elements.
Create software routines used for quality control.
Enhance image analysis techniques.
Responsible for other laboratory duties.
Perform thermal finite element analyses (FEA).
Essential Knowledge and Skills
Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering program.
All core Mechanical Engineering courses.
Experimental Analysis.
LabVIEW programming.
Matlab programming.
Desired to have completed: Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Machine Design, Numerical Analysis / Finite Element Analysis, Statics.
Good interpersonal and cooperation skills.
Computer skills: LabVIEW, Matlab, Programming (C#, Java, SQL, C++, or other), MS Office, 3D CAD (Solidworks or Inventor), FEA (ANSYS, Solidworks).
Ability to work independently.
Education and Experience
Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering program.
Compensation
Compensation ranges vary based on skill sets, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current range is: $47,243 - $74,675.
Additional compensation: an annual or quarterly company bonus may apply. Positions for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium.
Export Statement: Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC. This includes identifying ITAR products, restricting access to US Citizens and Permanent Residents, handling foreign visitors, and managing vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
