Veterinary Assistant
South County Animal Hospital, Greenwood, AR. Full-time, rotating weekend kennel shifts (every 3rd/4th weekend).

Role Responsibilities
Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow in each hospital function.
Assist with surgeries and procedures.
Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns.
Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
Be willing to support fellow team members.
Assist in kennel and clinic areas with cleaning, patient medications, laundry, and all other duties as deemed necessary by management.
Experience & Skills Requirements
One year of veterinary assistant clinical experience preferred.
Commitment to working within a team environment.
Positive, will‑do attitude.
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
Proven ability to multi‑task in a busy work setting.
Professional demeanor and outgoing personality.
