Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Shift Differentials

Weekend: $1.75/hour

Sign-On Bonus Eligible!

$600 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment.

Must be of legal age to sign a contract, which is at least 18 years old, to be eligible for a sign on bonus. Candidates under 18 years old may still be considered for the position but are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Welcome to Nephrology! Our department cares for a variety of patients: patients with chronic kidney conditions such as; patients on dialysis, Urology post-op patients such as; prostatectomies (prostate removed) and nephrectomies (kidney removed), and Kidney/Pancreas transplants. We are proud of our TEAMWORK, caring for a chronically ill patient population, and strong advocacy for patients.

Position Summary
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant

CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED ExperienceSix months experience in a clinical healthcare environment

Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
