Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Must be able to work well with others, communication with others, and have good decision-making ability.
Desire to be part of a proactive, motivated maintenance team.
Must have 5 years of refrigeration, HVAC experience and CFC universal certification.
Welding and other maintenance skills desired as well and a willingness to learn.
Must be able to lift 85 lbs. and be able to work at high heights.
Must be able to work around ammonia, Freon, CO2, natural gas and LP gas.
Will help with maintenance of refrigeration equipment: including freezer door, dock levelers, etc.
Must be able to do administrative duties and records, ie (P.M’s, logs, etc.)
Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and humidity.
Will help keep compressor room tools, and equipment clean and in good working order.
Must be knowledgeable of controls, icemakers, heating and air conditioner units.
Will have to attend refrigeration classes once every 3 years and maintain certification. Will have Haz-Mat training, confine space training and maintain certification.
Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and possibly have to work different shifts (day, evening, or night).
Must be able to pass physical, PFT and Respirator fit test in accordance with Haz-Mat certification.
Must be willing to be part of PSM program and ongoing education.
Prefer at least two years’ experience. Must complete a successful background check.
Other duties as directed.
Basic Skills and Qualifications
Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
Ability to apply common sense.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40 degrees).
Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
Ability to multitask and work quickly.
Must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees at some stations. (Less than 3 feet apart.)
Must have good communication skills.
Good hand and eye coordination required.
Food or production experience preferred.
