Description
The
Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) Coach
provides behaviorally focused, intensive mental health services to children who have been identified as at‑risk for higher levels of care or are stepping down from higher levels of care. Services for children and families are family‑focused, strength‑based, and are delivered in the community, including schools, hospitals, and family homes. Clients and families typically receive 2‑3 sessions per week, with an average service duration of 3‑6 months.

Responsibilities
Provide culturally sensitive and behaviorally focused mental‑health services to clients and their families approximately 2‑3 times a week, including the implementation and coaching of behavior‑management techniques for 3‑6 months.
Provide resource linkage and coordination of care across multiple life domains (e.g., school, community) as needed.
Participate in treatment reviews, Child and Family Team meetings, Individualized Education Plan meetings, or other family or provider meetings when needed.
Maintain a caseload of 5‑6 clients.
Develop and implement collaborative functional behavioral assessments, behavioral assessments, behavioral treatment plans, risk screenings, and safety planning.
Complete daily service notes, service authorization reports, sustainability plans, and other required paperwork in a timely manner using Seneca's online documentation systems or the county designated ystem.
Maintain client charts and records to internal and county standards.
Maintain close communication with all treatment members, specifically key county partners.
Participate in weekly individual supervision, behavioral coach group, and staff meetings/training as required.
Qualifications
Required:
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree OR
Associate degree or equivalent + 1 year of applicable experience OR
High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable experience may be accepted in programs that do not have a written contract requiring a Bachelor’s degree as a minimum education level.
Applicable experience can include paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families or working in the social services field.
Own vehicle, valid California Driver’s License, and insurance with the ability to provide frequent transportation and travel in the Bay Area.
Preferred
Experience working with system‑involved children and their families in a variety of mental‑health settings.
Skills of an Ideal Candidate
Ability and willingness to work independently in the office and in the community.
Strong written and verbal skills, including solid computer skills in Microsoft Office programs.
Strong organizational skills as demonstrated by the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including evenings and weekends.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Starting at
$26.22 - $28.72
per hour
Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
5 weeks of flexible paid time off and 11 paid holidays
