Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable
Part-Time Immigration Paralegal
to support our legal team. This role is ideal for someone with prior immigration experience who can manage casework independently while maintaining clear communication with clients and attorneys.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file immigration applications and petitions (e.g., family-based petitions, adjustment of status, naturalization, humanitarian applications).
Draft forms, cover letters, affidavits, and basic legal correspondence.
Communicate with clients to gather documentation and provide case updates.
Maintain organized digital and physical case files.
Track case deadlines and follow up on filings.
Assist with RFEs, NOIDs, and interview preparation.
Conduct basic legal and procedural research as needed.
Qualifications
Prior experience in immigration law (law firm or nonprofit setting preferred).
Familiarity with forms and processes before USCIS, EOIR, and/or consulates.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English required; Spanish or other language a plus).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems (e.g., Clio, LawLogix, Docketwise—preferred but not required).
Preferred Attributes
Experience working with vulnerable populations.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong client service mindset and professionalism.
