High School Diploma, UTMB Student enrolled at least half time.

Job Summary
Federal Work-Study students in this role will assist instructional design and academic support teams by reviewing course materials for grammar, spelling, clarity, and formatting consistency. Students may also support basic accessibility checks to ensure course content is usable by all learners and assist with routine iPad maintenance. This position provides hands‑on experience in academic editing, digital content review, and accessibility best practices in higher education.

Job Duties

Review course materials (documents, slides, and online content) for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, consistent formatting, and layout.

Provide written feedback or suggested edits using established guidelines.

Assist with basic accessibility checks, such as verifying heading structure, checking readable font styles and sizes, and identifying missing or unclear alternative text for images.

Follow provided checklists and templates when reviewing materials.

Communicate questions or issues clearly with supervisors.

Maintain confidentiality of course and instructional materials.

Assist with routine iPad maintenance tasks, including verifying required apps are present and updated, following provided instructions.

Marginal or Periodic Job Functions
Performs other related duties as required.

Salary Range
Commensurate with experience.
