Overview
The Lawrence County CTC is seeking a highly organized, self-motivated professional to lead our Welding program. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking to transition into education and mentor the next generation of welding professionals. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to work with and inspire teenagers.
Responsibilities
Lead the Welding program and manage a classroom/lab environment.
Inspire and mentor students toward professional welding careers.
Maintain effective communication with students and staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
Industry Experience: Minimum of 4,000 hours of verifiable employment in the welding field within the last 10 years.
Certification: A teaching certificate is preferred but not initially required; must enroll in an approved teacher certification program upon hire.
Essential Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; ability to manage a classroom/lab environment; proficiency in various welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, etc.).
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Per the negotiated collective bargaining agreement.
Benefits: Comprehensive package as per the current contract.
