Objective
The role of the Portfolio Management Intern is to support the operations and Asset Management teams in the execution of strategic business plans. This position is also responsible for facilitating the company’s disposition and refinancing platforms. This internship is a paid position.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Assist the Portfolio Manager on all dispositions and refinances across the company’s portfolio
Run hold/sell and disposition analyses to determine where the company has accretive sale
Track, analyze, forecast and reforecast trends in financial performance and business plan execution
Maintain and update property cash flow models, valuation models and portfolio rollups in MS Excel
Utilize Business Intelligence platform and vendor dashboards to monitor operational performance
Prepare investor reports and respond to inbound investor inquiries, as directed
Prepare financial reporting packages and presentation materials for senior management, partners, and third-party clients on monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis
Facilitate the onboarding of new assets by preparing and maintaining transition reports and coordinating the process with vendors, property managers, and internal parties
Track and forecast capital projects and unit renovation progress and costs against the business plan to ensure delivery is on time and budget
Assist with analysis of property sectors, and real estate & economic trends
Complete Special Projects and additional duties as assigned

Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal
Highly organized self-starter with ability to take direction and follow-through
Ability to apply best practices to facilitate successful completion of projects
A sense of urgency, comfort with ambiguity, drive for results and ability to remain true to the company’s brand and image
Qualifications
Seeking a graduate degree with an emphasis in Real Estate
1-4 years relevant experience; experience with multifamily real estate preferred but not required
Must be proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Advanced Excel skills preferred
Previous exposure in real estate analytics and business intelligence platforms preferred but not required.
