Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Production MIG Welder to join a growing team. This role involves welding, repairing, and modifying metal racks, along with supporting general production operations. Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding, accounting for approximately 50% of daily tasks
Repair and modify metal racks to meet specifications
Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate weld assemblies
Set up and operate MIG welding equipment (manual and automatic)
Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts into position for final welding
Inspect finished welds and perform spot repairs as needed
Evaluate returned materials and assist with repair/modification assessments
Accurately record materials used, quantities, and labor time
Operate a forklift to safely transport materials
Follow all safety procedures and standard operating guidelines
Travel occasionally to job sites for on-site work
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 year of welding experience (required)
1–3 years of related experience preferred
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical instructions
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good communication skills for team and customer interaction
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and handle heavy materials
Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity
Comfortable working with large equipment and metal components
