Position Overview
This is a Federal Work Study Program (FWSP) student clerical position in the Adult Education and Safety Sciences (AESS) department. The student will perform computer and customer service‑related duties in an office setting.

Hours per Week
20–25 hours per week maximum during fall and spring semesters.

Department Overview
The Department of Adult Education and Safety Sciences (AESS) offers programs for careers in business and industry settings and in educational institutions. AESS graduates can become training professionals, industry consultants, environmental and occupational health and safety professionals, educational consultants, student services administrators, public, private, and technology center educators, and more.

Enrollment Requirements
Fall/Spring Semesters

– All student employees must be enrolled at least half‑time (5 credit hours for graduates, 6 for undergraduates). International students must be full‑time (9 or 12 credit hours). A letter from an Academic Advisor is required if fewer credit hours are needed to graduate.

Summer Semester

– Student employees working regular positions must attend at least 3 credit hours. FWSP students must have a minimum of 6 credit hours (undergraduate) or 5 (graduate). A letter from an Academic Advisor is required if fewer credit hours are needed for graduation.

FWSP Requirements
To be considered for FWSP, you must be awarded work study through the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. The summer award is separate from the fall/spring award.
