Extruder Operator
General Description
Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, the Extruder Operator works proficiently with others and independently. The operator performs skilled work applying compounded rubber stock to a customer roll through the extrusion process.
Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate roll rotating equipment.
Safely and efficiently operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools.
Accurately weigh raw materials for blending using scales.
Follow written mixing instructions.
Complete required paperwork to document variables.
Learn to operate new equipment when upgrades occur.
Read and understand standard prints and instructions.
Perform other assignments directed by production supervision.
Carry out maintenance, housekeeping, painting, and miscellaneous tasks as needed or directed.
Work proficiently with or without supervision.
Qualifications
Education: High school Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: On‑job training provided; other combinations of experience and education may be substituted.
