Walter P Moore is seeking high-achieving civil engineering students from leading universities who are passionate about shaping the built environment through innovative site development solutions. Our internship program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while contributing to impactful projects across commercial and institutional sectors.
As a Civil Engineering Intern, you’ll be an integral part of our project teams, collaborating on the design and development of a variety of civil/land/site development projects. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to real‑world challenges, including:
Site layout and grading
Stormwater management
Utility design
Sustainable infrastructure planning
You will also have the opportunity to:
Participate in our industry‑leading, in‑house staff development program
Be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment
Gain exposure to cutting‑edge tools and technologies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or completion of a minimum of 40 college hours of engineering coursework towards BS in Civil Engineering of which at least 24 hours are engineering, physics or math related.
A strong technical foundation in civil engineering
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Enthusiasm for designing innovative and sustainable site development projects
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation (preferred but not required)
Written recommendation from a civil engineering professor
