Job Summary
At Scull Construction, a carpenter laborer assists carpenters and carpenter's helpers in building, installing, designing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using different materials such as wood, plastic, metal, and more. Salary
Pay: $16 – $22 per hour (depends on experience). Hourly pay, overtime eligible, paid weekly via direct deposit.

Essential Functions
Retrieve materials, pick‑up job site, sweep floors, and assist carpenters, helpers, and superintendents as needed.
Operate equipment such as gas saw, Bobcat, and forklift.
Take direction and accomplish duties outlined by supervisor; ask questions when tasks are unclear.
Work reliably as a team member and progress together.
Assist with all tasks, even those below skill level.
Education Requirements
No minimum education requirements.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Pass pre‑employment drug/alcohol screening and random testing.
Have personal transportation to and from job sites, including out‑of‑town work.
Arrive on time, ready for duty, with PPE and required tools.
Attend all safety meetings and maintain safe job‑site practices.
Wear and maintain PPE as directed: hard hats, safety glasses, high‑visibility vests.
Willingness to learn new tasks and responsibilities.
Pay attention to job details for uniform product quality.
Identify and communicate any job‑site hazards.
Operate all equipment and tools safely; only use equipment you have been trained on.
Keep tools clean and in good order.
Promote safety and proper housekeeping on all job sites.
Display positive attitude toward company, employees, and customers.
Work unsupervised and complete tasks as directed.
Willingness to travel out‑of‑town.
Work overtime and some weekends as required.
Maintain acceptable personal hygiene.
Dress appropriately for working conditions.

Physical Requirements
Lift heavy materials up to 75 lbs frequently.
Climb up and down ladders safely.
Work alone after instructions are given.
Perform full day assignments involving standing, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, and repeated use of arms, hands, and fingers.
Wear PPE and other safety equipment.
Work from various heights: ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other platforms above 10 ft.
Work in extreme weather: heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, snow, indoors or outdoors.
Work minimum 8 hours a day, with overtime and off‑hour shifts as required.
