Join NextEra Energy as an RNG Production Technician II at our Trail Ridge facility in Jacksonville, FL. This position is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining equipment within our RNG production facility, ensuring a steady supply of spec‑grade feedstock RNG by overseeing compressors, pumps, valving, and other process equipment.
The role involves routine inspections and maintenance, identifying and addressing issues, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with the team to keep a clean work environment.
Specific duties include monitoring plant operations, assisting with startup, shutdown, and operations of facility equipment, identifying and resolving problems, ensuring strict adherence to safety and environmental rules, conducting site inspections and audits, performing preventative maintenance, observing gauges and indicators, comprehending and interpreting P&ID’s and SOP’s, and maintaining a hazard‑free work environment. Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, and operating a forklift is required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee plant operations
Monitor and troubleshoot operating equipment
Clear and concise documentation management
Maintain communication with plant personnel and management
Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure machine functioning properly
Perform preventative and routine maintenance
Ensure plant adheres to safety and environmental rules
Identify process deviations and perform root cause/corrective action
Use scientific rules and methods to solve problems
Conduct area inspections and audits
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Grad / GED
Experience: 1.5+ years
Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Equivalent Experience
