Hugg and Hall Equipment Company is looking for a
Resident
Equipment Service Mechanic
in the field.
This position will be based in Blytheville, AR
to service customers there and in the close surrounding areas.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Resident Service Mechanics perform field diagnostics and repair on a wide range of material handling equipment within a designated territory.
In this role, you will:
Travel to customer locations
to troubleshoot, perform in field diagnostic inspections, and repair a wide range of construction equipment and components
Continuously communicate in a courteous and effective manner
with customers and co-workers including Salespeople, Coordinators, and Managers regarding job progress and general updates
Maintain a safe working environment
and observe all safety laws, policies and rules, both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles
Advanced mechanical aptitude, strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a safety-first mentality are all key.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience as a service technician repairing and maintaining material handling equipment or in a related industry
Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
Must own a complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
Basic computer skills
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Minimum 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
OTHER SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Strong technical skills in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with equipment operation
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
This position:
will be working in operating facilities and outdoors, traveling to customer locations. The employee will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures. The normal auto hazards will apply.
will be frequently working on equipment with potential hazards where appropriate safety equipment and practices are required.
must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally may be required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds.
requires standing, walking, twisting, climbing, and crawling.
requires bending, stooping, kneeling, or squatting handling/fingering on a daily basis.
requires driving a van/truck to and from customer locations
must be able to wear safety glasses and safety shoes.
must be medically capable of performing all aspects of the job with the maximum amount of safety.
